What to expect
PVT offers three platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedures. The P-shot and penile PRP involve injecting platelet-rich plasma, prepared from your own blood, into penile tissue. The O-shot applies the same PRP approach to the clitoral and vaginal area in women.
Honesty matters more here than anywhere else on this site. These procedures exist, are performed widely, and have plausible mechanisms, but the supporting evidence is still developing and results vary between individuals. No specific outcome is promised, and any provider who promises one should worry you. What we commit to is careful patient selection, sterile technique, and a doctor who will tell you plainly if you are unlikely to benefit.
That is why everything starts with an eligibility consult at Milnerton or Table View. The doctor reviews your history, confirms whether a procedure is clinically reasonable for you, often alongside conventional treatment, and quotes the full cost in writing. Procedures themselves are performed at 15 on Orange, our pre-booked procedure suite in Gardens.

Frequently asked
What are these procedures, in plain terms?
The P-shot, penile PRP and O-shot involve injecting platelet-rich plasma, a concentrate prepared from a sample of your own blood, into genital tissue. All procedures are performed by a doctor at 15 on Orange following an eligibility consultation.
Do the procedures hurt?
Discomfort is generally modest. PRP injections are performed after a topical numbing cream has taken effect, and most patients describe pressure rather than pain. You can drive yourself home afterwards.
How many sessions are involved?
PRP procedures may be performed once or repeated depending on the protocol your doctor recommends. Your exact schedule is set out during the eligibility consultation, together with the full cost.
What does the evidence actually say?
The evidence is still developing, and PRP research remains at an early stage. Professional urology bodies currently regard these as emerging treatments. Your doctor will explain what the research does and does not show before you decide.
Who is a good candidate?
That is exactly what the eligibility consultation determines. People with untreated underlying conditions, unrealistic expectations, or clotting and medication concerns may be advised against a procedure, and the doctor will explain the reasons clearly.
Why can I not just book a procedure straight away?
Because these procedures are not right for everyone, and selling them without assessment would be poor medicine. The eligibility consult protects you: it confirms the diagnosis, rules out better-suited treatments, and gives you a written quote to consider without pressure.
