You pay each visit upfront by cash or card, get a detailed invoice, and claim back from your own medical aid if you choose to. Every fee is on this page.

Your initial consultation
Whether you are visiting for screening, hormone care, sexual function concerns, prevention or an eligibility assessment for an advanced treatment, your consultation includes a personalised medical assessment, appropriate test recommendations, a clear explanation of your results and a prescription where clinically appropriate.

Follow-up consultation
Follow-up consultations may include a one-month review after starting hormone therapy, a test of cure or a quarterly PrEP review. Each visit is arranged only when clinically appropriate and agreed upon by you and your doctor, with payment made on the day.

Covers the doctor's assessment, test selection, explanation of your first results, and a script where clinically appropriate.
This is the starting point for screening, hormone assessment, sexual function and prevention visits.
Follow-up package

R700 + R500
The two visits come to R1200 in total, and each visit is billed separately on the day. You never pay R1200 upfront.
The follow-up confirms your hormone levels are tracking as intended, or that an STI has cleared after treatment.
The follow-up is optional. You can book it when you and your doctor agree it is needed.

Both partners screened in the same visit

The consult is R700. Vaccines (hepatitis B, HPV) and medication (PrEP, PEP) are consumables billed separately at cost.

You receive a detailed invoice after each visit. You submit it to your own medical aid and the scheme reimburses you directly, subject to your plan.

PVT does not bill medical schemes directly for this service. That keeps your visit off shared family statements until you choose to claim.

Some testing services charge per test, with no doctor in the room and no script at the end. Here the fee buys the medicine around the test: the assessment, the interpretation and the treatment plan.

The couples check, in numbers
Two separate consults would cost R1300. The couples check is R1200 for both partners in the same visit, and it adds what two separate visits cannot: an agreed frame for what is shared, and counselling together if your results differ.
What a year of care costs, honestly
PrEP, year one
R700 + 3 to 4 reviews at R500
Start with baseline testing, then quarterly reviews, which is the clinically required rhythm. Roughly R2,000 in consult fees across the year, plus the medication and lab tests at cost.
TRT, year one
R700 + R500, then R500 reviews
Initiation with morning bloods and a safety baseline, the month-one review, then scheduled monitoring. Roughly R2,000 in consult fees in a typical first year.
HRT, year one
R700 + 3 to 4 reviews at R500
Assessment, the month-one symptom and dose review, then an annual rhythm once stable. Most women settle at two to three visits a year.
